Camp Kenan meets the strictest requirements for YMCA Resident Camps, maintains accreditation by the American Camping Association and is inspected annually by the Niagara County Health Department. A registered nurse lives on site, and our infirmary is equipped to care for temporary illness and accommodate overnight stays if necessary. Hospital facilities in Newfane, NY are less than 10 minutes away.
Food & NutritionA balanced diet is a very important part of any camp experience. The camp's gourmet chef serves three well-balanced meals each day. Lunch and dinner are both accompanied with a 15-item salad bar for all of our campers. Vegetarian selections are made readily available by our chef. Please let us know if you have any dietary concerns or food allergies so we may make proper accomodations. Parents and special guests are even invited to sample our chefs cooking at our pick-up barbecues that take place each Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
